Dear students:
Welcome to our NORTH FLORIDA INTEGRATED MARTIAL ART family. I am glad to have you as the newest member of our school.
My desire is to teach you the traditional art of HAPKIDO,DIATO RU AKI JUJITSU, TANG SOO DO and BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU as
it has been passed down from master to student for over two thousand years. It is an honor and a privilege for you to have
the opportunity to train in this traditional martial art.
I began training in the TEA KWON DO and DIATO RU AKI JUJITSU (HAPKIDO) under Master Walter Eddie
in July of 1974 when i was thirteen years old. I received my First Dan in August of 1979 and in 1980 I won the Westchester
Full Contact Kickboxing Championship in White Plains, New York, and held my title until defeated in 1982.
In 1984 I then moved to Puerto Rico where I competed
in and won the San Juan Full Contact Kickboxing Championship and was not defeated. Moved to Florida in 1987 and started to
train in the classical art of Tang Soo Do with Master Richard Rosenbeck who promoted me to second Dan in 1989.
In 1993 Master Phil Swint promoted me to Third Dan in
Tang Soo Do. In 1994 I started training with Master Jimmie Faralli in the art of HAPKIDO who promoted me to third Dan and
then Fourth Dan in July of 2000. And in 2008 was promoted to Fith Dan I continue to train under Master Faralli who is the
fouder of AMERICAN HAPKIDO ALLIANCE. Also training in VALE-TUDO/BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU under MASTER JUAN MOTT an EXCELLENT instructor
in this FINE ART.
Between 1987 and 2003 I competed in the US OPEN, BATTLE OF ATLANTA and JACKSONVILLE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP
and won 1st and 2nd place in all three divisions,
FIGHTING, FORMS AND WEAPONS. The continuation of teaching for over twenty five years and the founder of the NORTH FLORIDA
INTEGRATED MARTIAL ARTS –NFIMA- I have reached the top by having A great Family, Friends and Students. So
troughout your training, you will learn that martial arts are not just for kicks, but a way of life. It is a way to improve
youself mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Our traditional martial art emphasizes the
important principles of having honor, courage, self-control, self-discipline, respect for life, and for having a good attitude.
Not only do I expect you to consistently strive to become a better HAPKIDO/TANG SOO DO and JIU JITSU student, but also
to become a better individual.
I welcome you to our DIATO RU AKI JUJITSU (HAPKIDO), TANG SOO DO and BRAZILIAN
JIU JITSU family and your new journey in the art of DIATO RU AKI JUJITSU (HAPKIDO), TANG SOO DO, and BRAZILIAN JIU
